Memphis Economy Gaining Traction But Needs Work

Along with Tennessee economic development chief Bob Rolfe, Cushman Wakefield Commercial Advisors president and chief executive Larry Jensen served as a panelist at the Chamber’s State of the Economy program. Jensen said Memphis has $19 billion in projects planned, underway or completed since 2014 but added it’s still challenging to win over the community’s naysayers. Jensen believes that the collective psyche of Memphis in recent years has gone from “whining” to “yeah, but” to “hmm, oh!” and is on the road to "Oh, wow!"
