Mary Leesa Simmons

Vice President, Senior Asset Manager

 

Mary Leesa Simmons joined Cushman & Wakefield | Commercial Advisors as Vice President, Senior Asset Manager in 2015, bringing with her more than 25 years of real estate management experience. Mary Leesa is responsible for the day-to-day property management of a 5.4 MSF, 17 building portfolio formerly managed by IDI, including assets owned by USAA, GID, and Realty Income. Mary Leesa and her team have developed strong working relationships with the owners, vendors and tenants of these buildings with a proven track record of exceptional performance. Her duties include contract administration, lease administration, property inspections and assisting in leasing efforts. She prepares annual operating and capital budgets along with monthly ownership reporting packages. Mary Leesa and her team also coordinate all outside service providers such as architects, engineers and contractors for tenant improvement projects, move-ins and capital building improvements. 

Mary Leesa comes to Cushman & Wakefield | Commercial Advisors from IDI Gazeley where she served as Vice President of Real Estate Management. She managed and supervised more than 13 million square feet of industrial properties comprising of various clients throughout her tenure with IDI Gazeley. Among her clients were USAA, GID, Realty Income, TIAA-CREF, JP Morgan, Space Center, IIT, Dividend Capital Trust and Monmouth.

Mary Leesa began her real estate career in 1987 with LJ Hooker Developments as office manager. In 1989 she joined IDI, Inc. where she was prompted to Property Manger where she managed 3 million square feet of flex and bulk warehouse space. In addition, she was instrumental in helping to open the IDI Dallas regional office where she hired a property manager and was responsible for IDI’s Memphis and Dallas portfolios. She was promoted to Vice President in 2006 overseeing up to 13 million square feet of industrial space in Memphis, Nashville, and West Memphis, AR. In addition to her management duties, Mary Leesa is a member of BOMA where she served two terms as Secretary for the Board of Directors. She is also a BIG for Memphis partner, a Business Interest Group uniting to build and support a better Memphis.
