Professional Expertise
Owen Mercer is a Principal at Cushman & Wakefield | Commercial Advisors and part of the firm’s Memphis Industrial team. This team of five professionals focuses on 1) institutional leasing, 2) local occupier representation, and 3) global portfolio solutions. Locally, the team is engaged in leasing over 22 MSF of space for the world’s largest and most respected institutional owners. The team handles the global real estate needs of long-term clients with a worldwide footprint of over 45 MSF and is a leading advisor to industrial and office occupiers locally.
Owen is also a key advisor in the data center commercial real estate sector, providing strategic guidance to occupiers, investors, and developers. His expertise spans site selection, acquisitions, and leasing, leveraging deep market knowledge and a data-driven approach to help clients navigate this dynamic and high-growth industry.
He has worked with the Community Advisors service line of C&W|CA, where he assisted in providing brokerage, management, redevelopment, and financing expertise for non-profit and faith-based clients in underserved core Memphis neighborhoods.
Prior to joining C&W|CA, Owen worked for U.S. Senator Bob Corker (R-TN). He served as the West Tennessee field director for the 2012 campaign before joining Senator Corker’s office in Washington, D.C. As a staff member with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Owen primarily helped Tennessee constituents resolve a wide range of international issues by working with U.S. Government agencies, foreign Embassies, and NGOs. Owen is married to Sarah, also a native Memphian, and they have two children.
